With a smile my visitor said, "He's beautiful and has . . . how would I say . . a calm overpowering presence that says I am the one." You know, he's right. Always gentle with the females and babies . . . and rarely has renowned males in Alpaca history. . . Accoyo Caligula. El Patron was part of the winning group of offspring to win the Get of Sire for Caligula in 1998. He's older now but his wonder genetics still have years of progeny left. He's strong and healthy. From the Accoyo Estancia in the Macusani region of Peru, Accoyo Zigmund's grandsire Caligula had the same macho head and heavy bone. It's rare to find any animal that has perfect fiber but according to his skin biopsy, there is no medulated secondary fibers present. With a wonderful hand and superb density this male will exemplify the Accoyo tradition.

Anushka is a handful. I mean she's really big. Caligula would be proud...after all she looks like him!

Caligula is gone but he left us with a not so little girl, Anushka. Out of our Royal Fawn mom China, she weighed 23.6lbs at birth and is strong as an ox. Today she's well over 200 lbs. So far she's had 2 show quality female cria. We'll bred her this fall to a full Accoyo stud. At her first show she placed 6th in a large class. Walked in great, then she sat down and wouldn't move...except to leave. So much for show biz!

Melantha is a rich Bay Black show quality female...Bred to Accoyo Endurance

Melantha is a rich Bay Black show quality female. Dense fiber with a blanket weight of four pounds. We bred her to Camilio's Accoyo Endurance for a January 2009 cria. This is a very exciting cross. Endurance and Melantha have similar heads and square body styles both with full coverage down the legs. Long staple length characterize their shiny fiber. She is full Chilean, he is full Accoyo. The genetics outcross should be nothing short of spectacular. FYI breedings to Endurance are not available.

Pussywillow is no stranger to the ribbons in the showring and now she'll be a mom!

Tai Rose is Light rose grey and weighed in at 19 lbs. She started following us around the field 1 hour later. Winning the BLUE RIBBON at the NAAS in halter was taken in stride by this show quality girl. She is now bred to MFG Justinian and due in Spring of 2009. True champion bloodlines in this female.

VICTORY VELVET just became a PROVEN female in her own right. Bred to MAGNUM we wondered what kind of trouble we'd created. At 7pm, late you have to admit, whe presented us with a wonderfully crimpy,dense baby boy. Strong & straight, this was a good cross and she'll be rebred to Magnum for a 2005 cria. We're happy but exhausted.
